Your Rights & Responsibilities
Every team member at Laila has a role to play in upholding this policy. We ask everyone to:
- Treat others with respect and kindness
- Never engage in or ignore discrimination, harassment, bullying, or exclusion
- Speak up if they see or experience inappropriate behavior
- Support our ongoing efforts to build a truly inclusive and empowering workplace
Raising a Concern
If any team member feels they’ve experienced discrimination or exclusion, we encourage open and honest communication. This could be a direct conversation with the person involved, or a private discussion with a manager or trusted colleague.
If the issue persists or is serious, we have a formal grievance procedure in place to ensure every concern is addressed fairly, discreetly, and with care.
Breaches of Policy
We take breaches of this policy seriously. Any discriminatory behaviour will be investigated and may lead to disciplinary action, including dismissal in cases of gross misconduct. We also have zero tolerance for retaliation—no one will be punished for raising a legitimate concern.
At Laila, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and celebrated. That’s not just our policy—it’s our promise.
